Parler CEO John Matze told Tucker Carlson Tonight on Monday that he and his colleagues theorized that Amazon Web Services or one of the other necessary vendors from the social media company could deny the service.
“You never think this will happen, do you?” Matze told host Tucker Carlson. “You know? What’s really interesting is that they all did it on the same day, those three [Apple, Google and Amazon] without any prior notice. We woke up on Friday thinking about business, as usual. “
On Friday, Google removed Parler’s app from its Google Play Store. Apple did the same on Saturday, removing the app from the App Store, while Amazon Web Services cut Parler from its web hosting services.
Matze told Carlson that when Google abandoned Parler, “we didn’t get any notice from Google. We read it online first. That’s shocking.”
As a non-partisan company, Parler has become a haven for supporters of Trump and others who have been expelled from Facebook and Twitter or have left these social networks in protest.
Matze said that since Google, Apple and Amazon denied Parler access to users, the suppliers his team sought out when replacements refused to work with his company.

“I have seen many people say that this is scary, but I have seen many people participating in the five minutes of hate and encouraging and cheering it,” said Matze. “It’s disgusting.”
“People are threatening my life,” he said. “I can’t go home tonight. So this is really a lot, you know. This is not just our civil freedom. [Big Tech] you can shut down a billion dollar company, a half billion dollar company overnight. “
