A new lawsuit by the legal team Parler on Friday revealed that its CEO John Matze and his family are now in hiding because of the death threats and security breaches they have faced.
Parler, a social media app that has a large user base of Trump supporters, conspiracy theorists and far-right extremists, opened an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon after the tech giant discontinued its web services after the week’s riots. spent at the Capitol. Amazon filed a response, claiming it “has no legal basis” and claiming that its employees were faced with threats and harassment.
Parler’s lawsuit obtained by Fox News acknowledges the disturbing claims made by Amazon, but note that the company run by Jeff Bezos is not the only one that is receiving threats.

“While the AWS motion to seal focuses only on its own employees, Parler’s employees have been similarly harassed and threatened,” the document said. “Parler’s CEO, John Matze Jr., reports in his statement in support of Parler’s TRO motion that many Parler employees are experiencing harassment and hostility, fearing for their safety and that of their families and, in some cases, have fled his home state to escape persecution.
“Matze himself, as CEO of AWS continues to defame, had to leave his home and hide with his family after receiving death threats and invasive breaches of personal security,” the process continued.
Earlier this week, Matze told Fox News about the various threats he received and the steps he would take to protect his family.
“There is a group called UGNazi that targets me,” said Matze, noting that the controversial group of hackers has released many of their passwords and personal information on the Internet. “They posted my address, threatened to come to my door.”
He generally doesn’t take threats directed at him too seriously, he said. But this time he hid with his family.

He is not sure when he will return home, saying he is taking things “day by day”, but he thinks that being away from his routine in the chaos that surrounds his company can actually have a positive impact.
“It probably leveled me out,” said Matze. “If I were home now, I think my stress levels would have been three times higher … at least there is that saving grace.”
