Parler announced on Monday that he is officially relaunching his platform and will no longer have to rely on “big technologies” to operate.
The announcement says the platform has been rebuilt with independent technology, giving it the freedom to function as they see fit, after the company was decoded by major web application and service stores in January after the Capitol riots.
“When Parler was taken down in January by those who wish to silence tens of millions of Americans, our team came together, determined to deliver on our promise to our highly engaged community that we would be back stronger than ever, ”Mark Meckler, Acting CEO of Parler said in the ad.
Parler was suspended from Amazon’s web hosting services and Apple’s app store after the turmoil, when it was discovered that it was full of many member discussions about the Capitol invasion.
Amazon and Apple gave Parler a chance to change their content moderation policy as they had few rules about what could be published on the platform. Instead of moving, Parler moved to a place where they say they can restart without restrictions.
“Parler is driven by an experienced team and is here to stay. We will succeed as the leading social media platform dedicated to freedom of expression, privacy and civil dialogue, ”said Meckler.
Current users of the platform will be allowed to enter the site this week, while those who want to join will have to wait until next week, according to the announcement.
Parler is still looking for a permanent CEO after the board fired former CEO John Matze in a lawsuit in which Matze said he did not “participate”.
Although Parler claims his platform is open to all views, it has become known as a site for right-wing users who believe that other major social media platforms have censored conservative content.
