Parkland survivor David Hogg facing MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell

Gun control activist David Hogg – a survivor of the Parkland school massacre – said on Thursday that he will launch his own pillow company to compete with Mike Lindell, the conservative CEO of MyPillow.

Hogg, 20 – who was a student Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during the 2018 massacre – tweeted that he will join progressive technology entrepreneur William LeGate in an effort to create a rival pillow company.

“This pillow fight just got too real,” Hogg tweeted on Thursday – calling it “progressive competition” for Lindell, who was banned from Twitter last week for spreading conspiracy theories about electoral fraud.

Hogg says his unidentified company may put Lindell, who sells patented foam pillows in commercials, out of the market.

“[LaGate] and I can and will run a better business and make a better product, all with a happier team than Mike, the pillow guy, at the same time that we create union jobs in the United States and I will help people ”, Hogg posted. “We also hope to hire people who were already in prison, veterinarians and my pillow workers, should we remove them from the market.”

It added, “The site will be live in a few weeks, we are in the early stages now.”

But Lindell, 59, is not concerned about potential rivals in the pillow world, he said on Thursday.

“Good for them. … Nothing wrong with the competition that does not infringe someone’s patent, ”he told Axios.
