Paralyzed by fear? Johns Hopkins doctor notes something peculiar about Matt Vespa’s COVID vaccine guidelines

Dr. Marty Makary, of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, was bold in his projection that we will have collective immunity in April. This has been contested by those who are nowhere near their level of expertise when it comes to public health, but I get resistance as it destroys the Democratic Party’s COVID blockade regime. In an opinion article for Wall Street Newspaper, Makary says that we are underestimating natural immunity and with the pace of vaccinations, we will reach this critical point of reference to regain normalcy in the tax season.

“About 1 in 600 Americans died from Covid-19, which translates into a population mortality rate of about 0.15%. The death rate from Covid-19 infection is about 0.23%, ”wrote Dr. Makary. With these figures, he estimates that two-thirds of the country has already contracted the infection. We are rapidly approaching 100 million vaccinations. It is not an insane projection, but he says other health experts are afraid to push for fear of affecting the vaccination rate. This is not their job, he argued. Good health news should be spread, not buried. There was resistance and there will be more resistance when he recently wrote about vaccine protocols.

The good doctor cited an Israeli study that shows that those who received the Pfizer vaccine are virtually “bulletproof” four weeks after the first dose. That’s the keyword right here. Therefore, we may be returning to normal if the CDC is not so busy selling exaggerated threats about the virus and being struck by fear, which Makary noted with his latest guidelines. Is it ‘follow the science’ or ‘be afraid, be very afraid’?

Take the picture, wait a month and start rebuilding our lives. This is fair. This appears to be based on science, which the CDC may be ignoring. You are the judge (via WSJ):

Parts of the new guidelines are absurdly restrictive. For example, the CDC did not withdraw its advice to avoid air travel after vaccination. A year of pre-vaccine experience has shown that airplanes are not a source of spread. A study conducted for the defense department found that commercial airplanes have HEPA filtration and airflow that exceeds the standards of a hospital operating room.

An unpublished study conducted by the Israeli Ministry of Health and Pfizer showed that vaccination reduced transmission by 89% to 94% and almost completely prevented hospitalization and death, according to press reports. Immunity is fully activated about four weeks after the first dose of the vaccine, and then you are essentially bulletproof. With the added security of wearing a mask indoors for a few more weeks or months – a practical necessity in public places, even if you are not a doctor, since you cannot tell at a glance if someone is immune – there is little that a person vaccinated should be discouraged from doing.

On a positive note, the CDC said that fully vaccinated people who are asymptomatic do not need to be tested. But that obvious recommendation should have come two months ago, before wasting so many tests on people who have high levels of circulating antibodies because of the vaccination.

In its guidance, the CDC states that the risks of infection in vaccinated persons “cannot be completely eliminated”. It is true that we do not have conclusive data to guarantee that vaccination reduces the risk to zero. We will never go. We are operating in the realm of medical discretion based on the best available data, as active doctors have always done. The CDC highlights the impressive success of vaccines, but is ridiculously cautious about their implications. Public health officials focus myopically on the risk of transmission, but ignore the broader health crisis stemming from isolation. The CDC recognizes the “potential” risks of isolation, but does not elaborate.

It is time to release vaccinated people to restore their relationships and rebuild their lives. This would encourage vaccination, giving hesitant people a strong incentive to get vaccines.

Throughout the pandemic, the authorities missed the precautionary target. Hospitals prevented family members from being with their loved ones while trying to breathe, choking on a ventilation tube – what some patients describe as the worst feeling in the world. In addition to the power to hold hands, family members coordinate care and serve as a valuable safety net, a partnership that was sorely needed when many hospitals were understaffed. Separating family members was excessive and cruel, driven by narrow thinking that focused exclusively on reducing the risk of viral transmission, regardless of the damage to human quality of life.

He added the mental health problems that exploded due to the blockade regime that teachers’ unions, Democrats and the liberal media ignore. Children are committing suicide. Anxiety and depression also increased among students. Loneliness and isolation will be the true ‘long-term’ symptom of this pandemic, which could be partially alleviated if our experts really gave us advice that was not so covered in rubbish.
