Pakistani man with werewolf mask arrested for scaring people

Perhaps there was a full moon.

A Pakistani man was arrested for walking the streets of Peshawar wearing a werewolf mask to scare people on New Year’s Eve, Indian Express reported.

Asad Khan, a resident of the city’s Moti neighborhood, was reportedly making noise while driving his motorcycle, according to the agency that quoted TV Saama.

The hairy suspect had a problem with the police, saying he was not trying to scare anyone – but just obeying the government’s order to wear a mask amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Social media users shouted at the images of the short man, who is seen on his bicycle and then – still wearing the grotesque mask – chained to a police officer.

“Perhaps he did not want to take the risk of such an epidemic. This mask is an infallible weapon to fight Covid-19, ” a user said on Twitter.

Another wrote: “People are scared of the guy and don’t show up during the new year during Covid season, everyone is safe. Isn’t that a good thing? “

And a third said in a tweet that the man “was reported to the police by a girl wearing a red hood”.

It was not immediately clear whether the suspect was charged.
