Packers lead, Saints and Seahawks still alive, for the advantage of playing at home for the NFC

The Packers lead the race with the advantage of playing at home during the NFC playoffs, but the race will end in Week 17.

The race for seed No. 1 on the NFC will be determined on Sunday between the Packers, Saints and Seahawks, all of which start at 4:25 pm ET.

The simplest part is that the Packers have the best record in the NFC at 12-3, so if they beat the Bears on Sunday, they gain the advantage of playing at home.

But if the Packers lose to the Bears, the 11-4 Saints and 11-4 Seahawks will still have a chance. The Saints would win a draw with three, so a defeat by the Packers combined with a victory by the Saints and a victory by the Seahawks would give the advantage of playing at home for the Saints.

The Seahawks would win a two-way tie with the Packers, so a victory for the Seahawks, a defeat for the Packers and a defeat for the Saints would give home game advantage to the Seahawks.

If the Packers, Saints and Seahawks lose, the Packers will have the advantage of playing at home.

The good news for NFL fans is that none of the best NFC teams got their seed in the playoffs, so we should expect the best teams to play all of their starters in Week 17.
