Packers face buccaneers for conference title

It is the first time in 13 years that the Packers will host the NFC Championship. Green Bay has reached that stage for the fourth time in the past seven seasons, but hasn’t made it to the Super Bowl in a decade.

The Buccaneers have not made much progress in the postseason since winning the Super Bowl 18 years ago.

As for the confrontation of future Hall of Fame quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, this will mark their fourth meeting of all time and their second this season. The Packers and Rodgers beat Brady and the Patriots at Lambeau Field in 2014. Brady won at New England in 2018 and in Tampa Bay earlier this season.

Brady, a six-time Super Bowl winner for New England, will play his 14th game for the title at his career conference and his first at the NFC.

Week 6’s encounter between the Packers and Buccaneers was Green Bay’s first defeat of the season, after a 4-0 start and one of only three defeats of the year. The 38-10 decision was the only time that the Packers, who hold the No. 1 scoring attack in the NFL, were left with less than 22 points.
