Packers defeat Rams, 32-18, to advance to the NFC title game

GREEN BAY – The Packers advanced to their second consecutive NFC game with a 32-18 win on Saturday against Rams in the divisional round at Lambeau Field.

The Packers led by seven in the fourth quarter, when QB Aaron Rodgers found WR Allen Lazard, who had missed a potentially big move early in the second half, to a 58-yard touchdown to give Green Bay a two-point lead again.

The defense then responded with two sacks in a series of Rams near midfield to take the ball back and keep the Packers in charge.

The Packers are back in the NFC title game and will face the winner of Sunday’s Buccaneers-Saints game. Next week’s game will be at 2:05 pm CT at Lambeau Field.

Lazard ended with four receptions for 96 yards and TD, while WR Davante Adams had nine receptions for 66 yards and a score.

Rodgers finished 23 out of 36 to 296 yards with two TDs and no interceptions for a pass rating of 108.1.

The Packers’ ground game was productive throughout the game, with RB Aaron Jones getting 99 yards and a TD in 14 races. RB Jamaal Williams added 65 yards in 12 attempts.

For the Rams, the QB Jared Goff was 21 out of 27 for 174 yards and a TD for 105.9. RB Cam Akers had 18 runs for 90 yards and a TD, while no one in LA had more than 65 yards for reception.
