Blizzard has possibly leaked two new characters that come alongside Overwatch 2 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Earlier this month at BlizzCon, Blizzard disappointed Overwatch fans with how little Overwatch 2 showed. Reinforcing this disappointment was the lack of a revealed character. However, although Blizzard has not announced a new character, the footage they showed seems to suggest that two new characters have joined the series’ list.
The first is one that fans don’t need an introduction to, and that’s because it has been a rumored addition to the series list long before Overwatch 2 it was even announced. In the footage shown at BlizzCon, pieces of Junker Queen – her gauntlets and ax – can be seen posing in the background, suggesting that she is in the game somehow.

The other recently leaked character involves a little more speculation and is a character that some players are not familiar with. Also on Reddit, a user recently pointed out that one of the villainous robots looks suspiciously similar to Soundquake, a hero in the game universe. The resemblance is hard to ignore, although it is now impossible to know if there is anything at all, let alone a hint that Soundquake is also coming into the sequel.
As always, take everything here with a grain of salt. While Junker Queen’s assets are in the background apparently confirming their existence in the aftermath, this is not official information. In the meantime, it is difficult to know what to do with the Soundquake observation above, let alone claim that it means they are getting back into the game.
Overwatch 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. At the time of publication, there was no information on a release date or game coming to PS5 or Xbox Series X / S.
