Outriders launch Marvel dwarf avengers • Eurogamer.net

But the initial problems remain.

Outriders launched in a big way, although technology problems are making it difficult to launch.

The People Can Fly looter shooter has reached more than 100,000 simultaneous players on Steam, where it is currently the best-selling game for £ 49.99.

As a point of comparison, Square Enix’s high-profile flop, Marvel, The Avengers, peaked at 28,145 concurrent player counts on Steam when it launched in September. Currently, it has an average of 1000 simultaneous players in the last 30 days.

Square Enix will undoubtedly be delighted with the success of the Outriders earlier in the day, but it was not all too easy. The game suffered server problems this week that sometimes made it difficult to login – and even expelled solo players in the middle of the game.

There are also locking issues and People Can Fly was forced to disable the automatic combination between the PC and the console due to synchronization problems. The cross game will not be reactivated this weekend, Square Enix said.

Work is being done to try to improve the stability of the server and I was able to play this morning without interruption – although it takes a while to login.

I have been playing Outriders intermittently since it was released on April 1st and decided to continue with it after rinsing the demo.
