According to Griffin, he claims he was never able to enter the Capitol building, but federal prosecuting documents say he was on a “restricted” part of the Capitol grounds.

A few days before Griffin’s return to DC, he spoke during a 17-minute county mission meeting about his experience in DC
“They were saying that you couldn’t go any further because that was reserved for Joe Biden and his possession. Well, you tell a million Trump supporters that – soon that crowd just passed. I was nowhere in front of her, I was behind, ”he said.
Griffin said his intention was never violent.
“I found a megaphone and managed to get the attention of thousands of people below me, and I was able to lead them in prayer,” he said.
Now, New Mexico’s attorney general, Hector Balderas, is seeking to remove Griffin from office.
KOB 4 tried to contact fellow Griffin County Commissioners for comment, but none responded to the request.
Although Griffin received national notoriety for his fiery comments about possible future actions on the Capitol, he was not charged with any crime related to this.
