Do I have to be an Orange County resident to register for a COVID-19 vaccination?

Where are vaccines being administered? Is it a drive-thru location or do I have to get out of my vehicle?
Drive-thru vaccination is currently being administered at the Orange County Convention Center. You do not need to leave the vehicle when you are vaccinated.
Where at the Orange County Convention Center are vaccines being administered?
Vaccines are currently being offered at the Orange County Convention Center’s North Concourse. Individuals are asked to follow the directional signs that lead along the route to the Northern Lobby.
Will COVID-19 testing at the Orange County Convention Center be affected?
No. Tests for COVID-19 at the Orange County Convention Center will continue and will not be affected by vaccinations. The test is performed at a separate location on the West Concourse. For more information on testing, visit ocfl.net/Testing.
Do I need an identity document to be vaccinated?
Yes. You will be asked to present a valid driver’s license or photo ID that verifies your name and date of birth before receiving the vaccination.
How far in advance should I attend my appointment?
You will be asked to appear a maximum of 20 minutes before the confirmed time. Individuals who arrive earlier will be asked to wait in order to accommodate other pre-booked appointments. It is recommended to arrive at the vaccination site with a tank full of gasoline, water, snacks and any medication if necessary, as the waiting time can be more than an hour.
How can I tell if I am in the correct line for vaccines?
Vaccines are currently being offered at the Orange County Convention Center’s North Concourse. You will be asked to follow the directional signs along the route to the North Concourse. Florida Department of Health staff are located at the front of the vehicle’s queue to properly confirm that you are present for scheduled vaccines.
What about the elderly who have transportation problems?
The Florida Department of Health and the Orange County Government are working on plans to help qualified individuals who are homeless or have transportation problems as soon as more vaccine is available.
What about the elderly who do not have access to the Internet to register?
Those who do not have access to the Internet can register using a computer at the Orange County Community Center or at their local Orange County Public Library branch. As of Monday, January 4, 2021, qualified individuals can call 3-1-1 to help schedule a vaccination appointment.
I am under 65, but I have a latent health problem. Do I qualify for this current round of vaccine?
The Florida Department of Health is vaccinating individuals over 65 years of age. As more vaccines become available, the state will determine the next phased approach to vaccinations.
Will the vaccine distribution be available in other areas of Orange County?
There are future plans to distribute the vaccine elsewhere in the County. The Florida Department of Health and the Orange County Government will review potential vaccine distribution locations as soon as more vaccines are available in the state.
How do I register for the second vaccination?
The moment you register for your first vaccination, the third party vendor’s software system will automatically register you for your second vaccination.
How can I prove that I received my first vaccination?
After receiving your first vaccination, you will receive a COVID-19 Vaccination Registration Card. Your Registration Card is the documentation that you received both doses of the vaccine. Don’t lose your registration card.
Is the vaccine free?
Yes. The vaccine is administered at no cost to the individual.
Are there restrooms in the vehicle’s queue?
Yes. The portals and washing stations are located in the queue, as well as in the observation area after the vaccines are administered.
