Oracle’s cloud revenue loses as competition intensifies

The cloud division of Oracle Corp, a business software maker, reported quarterly revenue that did not reach analysts’ estimates due to increased competition from Amazon.com Inc and Microsoft Corp for cloud services due to remote work.

Oracle said it expects fourth quarter revenue to increase between 1% and 3% in constant currency, the midpoint of which implies revenue of $ 10.65 billion, according to Reuters calculations. Analysts had expected revenue for the current quarter of $ 10.84 billion, according to IBES data from Refinitiv.
