YORK COUNTY, SC (CN2 NEWS) The York County sheriff’s office, along with several other agencies, announced the arrest of 10 potential predatory children. Some from here in Tri-County.
MPs say the suspects used social media platforms thinking they were meeting 10-year-old children to commit sexual crimes.
The York County Sheriff’s Office, along with 13 other agencies assisted in the operation, including the Internet Child Crimes Task Force, South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, United States Secret Service USA, York Police Department, Rock Hill Police Department, Fort Mill Police Department, Mount Pleasant Police Department, Charleston Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
The operation began in March 2021.
