President Donald Trump is planning an “elaborate military-style farewell” for himself before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, according to ABC News.
Trump hopes to walk a red carpet while a military band plays, sources familiar with the plans told the network.
He even discussed a United States Air Force fighter jet, ABC News said.
It was also reported that Trump asked about the possibility of a 21-shot salvo, according to the Associated Press.

The president plans to leave Washington, DC, before Biden takes the oath to avoid having to apply for an Air Force One loan, CNN reported on Friday.
He is due to leave for Mar-a-Lago on Wednesday morning, according to Bloomberg.
Trump’s decision not to attend Biden’s inauguration will make him the first outgoing president to skip the ceremony in more than 150 years.
In 2017, Barack Obama attended the inauguration and then left the east side of the Capitol building in a helicopter. A week before that, he had said goodbye to the nation by giving a discreet public speech in his hometown of Chicago.
