A police officer in Ontario, Canada, violently attacked a skateboarder who was begging for help, and it’s all on video.
20 years old Skyler Kent apparently there was a red light in front of the police, so they stopped him. The skater tried to escape and was approached by one of the policemen, and that’s where the video starts.
You hear Skyler yell over and over, “Get off me!” how he’s suffocated as a cop. The officer begs Skyler to stop resisting, to which he replies … he is not resisting.
The police officer orders Skyler to put his hands behind his back and then puts a taser on his head and says, “Do you want this? I’ll light you up!”
As the spectators plead with the policeman to stop hurting the skateboarder, the policeman shouts: “Roll over on your stomach!” The officer seems to hit the taser on Skyler’s head. Another officer then comes and turns to Skyler. The first cop then grabs Skyler’s hair and slams his face on the pavement. It’s just brutal.
Now look … Skyler has been accused of causing disturbance and aggression in an attempt to resist arrest.
The police chief said the police officer in question was “relocated to alternative roles” pending the outcome of an investigation, adding that the video was “worrying”.
Kind of euphemism, don’t you think?
