OnePlus phone cameras it just doesn’t compare to what you get on Apple and Samsung phones, but according to a new leak, help may be on its way. The company is reportedly a partnership with Hasselblad in the next OnePlus 9 Pro.
The latest details on The next flagship phone from OnePlus has been revealed somewhat torturously, when a random fan fell on YouTuber Dave2D Discord Server claiming to have information about the OnePlus 9 Pro.
After contacting the fan, Dave2D eventually got a series of screenshots showing what appears to be a OnePlus 9 Pro genuine, including a new quad camera module on the back with the clear Hasselblad brand, support for a 3.3x optical zoom and some other notable specifications.
Meis entirely possible, these images are fakebut based on previous renderings for the standard OnePlus 9, which had an almost identical rear camera module, but with two beds instead of four, this leak seems to pass the initial detection test.
Unfortunately, when Dave2D contacted OnePlus CEO and co-founder Pete Lau, Lau did not confirm the leak or indicated that a similar camera system would be available on the standard OnePlus 9. But Lau already it was registered saying that one of the big goals of OnePlus for 2021 is to focus on camera quality. Wwith other phone brands having partnership with notable camera companies (see Huawei’s relationship with Leica and HMD’s with Zeiss to Nokia phones), a collaboration between OnePlus and Hasselblad not only seems quite plausible, but also a very good idea for a company that wants to update its camera game.

In addition to the 9 Pro’s cameras, the leak also detailed support for a 120 Hz dynamic refresh rate similar to what is available on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra, along with 11 GB of RAM (which is an odd number) and 256 GB of storage. And while there was no mention of which processor the phone used, based on OnePlus’s previous history with mobile chips, it’s a safe bet that the company will probably go with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
And in a separate leak Max Jambor, it seems the OnePlus 9 Pro also feature faster 45 watt wireless charging and support for reverse wireless charging since the OnePlus 30 watt wireless charging introduced in the OnePlus 8 Pro.
It’s ok, so when will we really know more? The next batch of OnePlus phones is expected to be announced at the end of this spring, with a recent report from the Android Central claiming that there will be some kind of launch event scheduled for March.
