After the launch of OxygenOS Open Beta 7 for OnePlus 8, OnePlus launched the first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta based on Android 11 for OnePlus 8T about a week ago. Now, the company is presenting updated betas for the OnePlus 8 and 8T.
The updates feature several new fixes and improvements, from optimizing the startup speed of some apps to fixing an issue where WhatsApp was unable to receive messages when it was in the background for a long time.
Here is the complete changelog presented by the new OxygenOS betas:
System
- The OnePlus account can now be registered with the phone number in more countries or regions
- Optimized the startup speed of some applications to improve the user experience
- Fixed 5G call noise issue
- Fixed the issue that WhatsApp cannot receive messages when it has been in the background for a long time
- Fixed an issue where “Auto-connect” in Dark Mode is disabled after system update
- Fixed disappearance issue with animated voice assistant activation gesture
- Fixed an issue with no caller ID being displayed on favorite contacts in Do Not Disturb mode
- Fixed issue with abnormal display of the configuration interface on the call forward split screen
- Fixed flash issue with Quick Landscape Response
- Fixed an issue with the status bar displaying abnormally when using split screen with Chrome
- Fixed a small probability issue that the expanded screen capture will stop working
- Android security patch updated to 2021.03
- Fixed the issue that the fingerprint pattern is not displayed on the screen (OP8 series only)
Camera
- Newly added time watermark (Go to: Camera – Settings – Watermark shot on OnePlus – Weather)
Gallery
- Fixed an issue where images are not displayed in the Gallery after being copied to the DCIM category
- Fixed an issue that the Share nearby button may disappear when using Google Photos
Bluetooth
- Fixed the issue that the ENHANCEMENT BASED ON SCENARIO key was not displayed in the settings when OnePlus Buds was connected to the phone
- Fixed the issue that the device cannot be searched by other Bluetooth devices
Message
- Fixed issue with incomplete dialog displayed in landscape mode
- Fixed known issues with SMS to improve functional stability (OP8 series only)
Clock
- Improved touch range of stopwatch buttons and improved user experience
Ambient screen
- Fixed issue where AOD displays the wrong time sequence after setting some languages as system languages
- Fixed issue with AOD that the screen may flicker when unlocking with fingerprint
- Fixed issue with AOD that the screen may turn red in some scenes
- Fixed issue with blurred lines in AOD
Network
- Fixed Wi-Fi failure issue
