One of the first third-party MagSafe batteries for iPhone 12 is now available for order

We look forward to other accessory manufacturers creating new types of MagSafe accessories for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. Last month, we shared a concept detailing ideas for a MagSafe battery to replace things like heavy battery cases. Now, we are starting to see real products come to life. Charge Fast launched one of the first MagSafe energy banks.

Charge Fast’s MagSafe power bank is advertised as capable of 15W wireless charging and 20W charging when connected to a device via a cable. The battery itself charges via USB-C.

Much like the MagSafe wallet, you can attach this battery directly to the back of your iPhone 12 or even on top of an iPhone 12 case. It is available in three colors: blue, green and gray. Its design clearly resembles that of a steel luggage case and looks quite elegant.

There are certainly more battery accessories like this and we should note that this particular battery is not approved by Apple. So your mileage may vary, but, as I noted earlier, this is the first MagSafe battery I have been able to find. It is priced at $ 89.99 on the Charge Fast website, but is currently on sale for $ 54.99.

What remains to be seen is whether Apple has official battery case accessories in store for the iPhone 12 line, and whether they would incorporate MagSafe into those accessories.

A list of an identical product on AliExpress was found. The original manufacturer of the power pack appears to be a company called Caseier. The list includes more information, such as 5000mAh capacity and other technical details that readers may be wondering about. They are also offering the accessory at a significantly lower price.
