OXFORD, Miss. (Ole Miss Athletics) – Ole Miss is honoring her veteran military students, teachers and alumni during Warrior Week with a series of events designed to recognize members of the Ole Miss family’s armed forces.
The university’s mission to honor and support its veteran students does not go unnoticed by its faculty and military personnel.
Throughout the week, a variety of events and activities will honor veterans and their services, culminating on November 14 with the Military Appreciation Game against South Carolina.
On Thursday (November 12), the Ole Miss football team will present its patriotic-themed uniform that players will wear in Saturday’s game against South Carolina. The rebels have made it a tradition to play a season game with uniforms that honor the military.
The uniforms will be revealed Thursday on Ole Miss football social media accounts. The military appreciation football game between the Rebels and Gamecocks will begin at 6:30 pm on November 14 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
Notable alumni and service members will be honored during the game and the break will feature a special tribute to the military in our country by the band The Pride of the South.
Throughout Warrior Week, veteran students and cadets from ROTC will be featured in videos highlighting their services and achievements.
