OK cops accused of manslaughter for shooting a 15-year-old boy.

Five Oklahoma City police officers were charged Wednesday with manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy last November.

Police officers responding to reports of attempted armed robbery at an Oklahoma convenience store shot Stavian Rodriguez 13 times on November 23.

During the meeting outside the store, Rodriguez could be seen in surveillance footage obtained by the local media dropping his weapon.

He raises his hands and releases them before he is hit.

At first, a police officer shot and hit Rodriguez with a “less lethal” weapon, the police said.

With one hand in his pocket and the other close to his waist, five other policemen then “fire unnecessarily[d] lethal rounds in Stavian Rodriguez, hitting him multiple times and inflicting deadly wounds, ”wrote an investigator from the Oklahoma City district attorney’s office in a sworn statement.

The accused officers are: Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton. They have been on administrative leave since the shooting.

The police officer who fired the “less lethal” shot was not charged.
