Ohio State Trey Sermon Goes To Hospital With Injury After First National Championship Game

The state of Ohio will have to win a national championship without starting to run back.

Trey Sermon left the field to go to the locker room after the first race of Monday’s title game against Alabama with an apparent injury. The seriousness and specificity of what he is dealing with is unknown at the time of publication.

However, Sermon was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, reported ESPN early in the second quarter. Leaving the stadium almost certainly ends your night prematurely.

The senior ass was holding his right shoulder as he entered the locker room, however.

Sermon started the day with 868 running yards in 115 runs for an average of 7.5 yards per race and, most importantly, he had gone out in the last two games, totaling 524 yards on the ground between the Big Ten championship and the Sugar Bowl. He set a school record with 331 yards against Northwestern a few weeks ago.

Mestre Teague started the Buckeyes’ second run in the running back.
