Ohio state basketball makes a big leap in Joe Lunardi’s bracketology

At the moment, everyone is praising the Ohio State basketball team. From official national polls (which still don’t mean much), to opinion polls, to Internet hits, the Buckeyes are impressing many so-called experts with their six-game winning streak in seven games in the big and bad Big Ten.

As we get closer to the extended race of the regular season, it seems like a good time to please some of the bracketologists out there to see where they have Buckeyes on the NCAA field if the season ends today. One of the most popular, of course, is Joe Lunardi of ESPN and his famous Bracketology.

And while he had OSU around a No. 5 seed at the start of the season, he now has the Buckeyes all the way down to a No. 2 seed on his last look at his NCAA Tournament projections.

Now, finding out where Bucks fits into this year’s big puzzle is even more difficult to decipher with all the games being played in and around Indianapolis because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but now, he has the state of Ohio facing No. 15 Louisiana seeds in the first round.

Look, this thing is going to change a thousand times in March, but now, the Buckeyes look like a bunch of improvement that are playing their best ball. Let’s hope it stays that way. If that happens, you will see even more positive projections from the NCAA Tournament.
