COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Health reported Saturday afternoon that the state has 11,018 new cases of coronavirus.

This brings the total number of cases to 664,668, which includes confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19.

A total of 8,476 people died of COVID-19, plus 20 on Thursday.

The state notified 8,828 new cases on Christmas Eve.

More than 80 million people worldwide have or had coronavirus and more than 1.7 million people died from it. In the United States alone, 18 million have or had coronavirus and more than 330,000 people died from it.
