Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine Remake amazes Nintendo fans

Nintendo may never redo The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but a fan of the game redoed it on Unreal Engine and the final product left Nintendo fans in awe and fantasizing about a suitable remake on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite, or possibly even the Super Switch, which could provide extra power necessary to fully realize the Nintendo 64 classic with modern graphics.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the fifth entry into The legend of Zelda series, but the first to make use of 3D graphics. When it was released in 1998, it was quickly praised as one of the best games of its year and, eventually, it would not only be one of the best Nintendo 64 games, but one of the best games of all time. In fact, many Zelda fans consider it the best, or at least one of the best, Zelda games made until today.

That said, while The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time it’s an undeniable classic, it hasn’t aged very well, like most early 3D games. Not only are the controls clumsy, but the visuals are not very interesting either, which makes the remake above YouTuber Yianni Papazis even more impressive. As you can see, Papazis rebuilt Castle Town and some other parts of the game on Unreal Engine. And as you would expect, Nintendo fans are delighted with this in the comments.

Zelda

While Nintendo remains seated Ocarina of Time, is currently working on The legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, which may be released sooner than previously thought. Meanwhile, this year the series will also celebrate its 35th anniversary. By celebrating the same birthday last year for Mario, Nintendo has grown, and many Nintendo fans are predicting it will do something similar with Zelda. In other words, there is still hope that we can see something like the video above in the near future.
