Two children of a New York nursing home victim on Tuesday criticized New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for not yet apologizing for the mismanagement of coronavirus-related deaths in the elderly.
“He always lied and pissed us off and cursed us from the beginning. In May, I apologized to CNN. Today, [Gov. Cuomo] is still blaming us and straying. I’m asking CNN, Chris Cuomo, his brother, to interview us and find out what really happened, “Daniel Arbeeny told Fox & Friends.
Daniel’s brother, Peter, said his father was a “vibrant and active person”. His father worked with Peter for “25 years”. However, when he became “ill”, he ended up “falling and in the hospital and then in rehab”.

Peter continued: “He was a wonderful, funny and loving father, friend, [and] neighbor. He lived 89 years in his father’s house, and it was there that we took him in his last days. My father was an incredible person, and I would like to say that I think [Fox News] has been on the right side of history in this matter. And my family and my father and all the thousands of families, thank you for bringing this to light. “
In trouble Governor Cuomo admitted on Monday that he should have acted earlier to release relevant data related to COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes amid growing criticism of the way his government handled the scandal.
In his first press conference since reports surfaced that his office underreported or withheld critical information about deaths in nursing homes during the coronavirus pandemic, Cuomo said that all relevant information was “reported in full, publicly and accurately.” When asked if he felt the need to apologize, the New York governor said his team’s failure to address concerns publicly created a “vacuum” that allowed “conspiracy theories” to spread.
“We made a mistake in creating the void,” said Cuomo. “We made a mistake in creating the void when we didn’t provide information, allowing the press, cynics and politicians to fill the void.”

Peter claimed to have been “blocked” by the Democratic Party because they were “spoiling and protecting Cuomo”.
“I would like to be the first person to tell Cuomo that what he doesn’t like about Trump is exactly who he is. He is Trump’s twin brother and should learn a little empathy. He should learn to recognize his mistakes. He wants to be glorified. OK, you did the right things, but you also did the wrong things, “said Peter.
“And not apologizing to a family member for the thousands of family members is unfair. He has forgotten his father’s face, unfortunately.”

Monday’s events involving Governor Cuomo once again received little coverage in CNN’s prime time, including no mention of his younger brother. Chris Cuomo regularly hosted his brother for friendly interviews last year, while the pandemic raged in New York.
“If we can get the truth out, people will be able to judge properly and be mortified,” said Daniel Arbeeny.
