Sir Tom Jones joked that he is now ‘bulletproof’ after receiving the two Covid-19 vaccines and said it is ‘a great feeling’.
The 80-year-old singer appears on Friday’s episode of The Graham Norton Show and told the presenter that he is disappointed that he is still unable to do any live shows yet.
He said: ‘I already had both and now I’m bulletproof! It feels great. I thought, “I can go out and do some live shows now”, but then I thought, “You need to have an audience for this!” If they didn’t have the jab, what’s the point. ‘

The Voice UK judge has lived in Los Angeles for 41 years and admitted that one of the reasons he stayed so long was advised by his accountant.
He said, ‘I liked it very much. It was the sun and everything. Because I was on the road so much introducing myself, for me it was like a vacation place.

‘To be honest, the reason I stayed there was on the advice of my accountant when Harold Wilson came to power – and then, when I didn’t have to pay so many taxes, I really started to like it!’
Tom appeared on the BBC’s chat program alongside actors Sam Neill, Billie Piper and James Nesbitt and also performed his new single No Hole in My Heart.

Reflecting on his prolific career, hitmaker Delilah said: ‘I like birthdays. People say, “What is it like to grow old?” but I say, “What is the alternative?” I don’t mind getting old, because the memories are tremendous.
‘I don’t want to stop because God has been kind to me and my voice is still there. I want to do this as long as there is a breath in my body. ‘
