Norton Healthcare recently implemented a COVID-19 vaccine waiting list for those eligible for vaccination according to Kentucky state government guidelines.
Norton Healthcare set up the waiting list when it became clear that the demand for vaccines far exceeded supplies. Norton Healthcare’s waiting list size does not affect vaccine allocations.
If you want to sign up for the waiting list, visit NortonHealthcare.com. Click the “Vaccine eligibility” button in the red “Schedule your vaccine” box on the home page. You will be asked to confirm your eligibility. If you have an appointment, you can schedule your vaccination. If current supplies are depleted, the appointment book will be closed and you will have the opportunity to click on the “Enter the waiting list” button.
The waiting list follows the order of registration. Those who register first will be offered a vaccination appointment sooner than those who register later. After registering, you will receive an email with additional information.
Norton Healthcare’s waiting list is separate from the former Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Welfare “interest list”. Those who have subscribed to the city’s interest list will not be transferred to the Norton Healthcare waiting list. If you put your name on the city’s list of interests, you’ll still need to sign up for the Norton Healthcare list. Your place in the queue will depend on when you sign up for Norton Healthcare’s waiting list.
Health care professionals and those aged 70 and over are eligible to receive vaccination according to state guidelines. If you have difficulty registering online, ask a friend or family member for help.
As soon as you receive the first dose, you will automatically make an appointment for the second dose.
We know that there is a great demand to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and we are working hard to get everyone’s consultation as the supply allows.
