New Mexico authorities arrested a man after he allegedly threatened a McDonald’s employee with a gun at the drive-through. Apparently, the suspect was upset about an error in his order and reportedly responded by pulling the gun.

Estevan Gonzalez was accused of pointing a gun at a McDonald’s employee in Albuquerque after an error was made with his request.

The incident occurred at a McDonald’s in Albuquerque last week, reports KOB 4. The suspect, Estevan Gonzalez, reportedly drove to the drive-through window to complain that there was a problem with his order.

According to the woman who worked at the window, they replaced her meal. Gonzales then returned to the queue and reportedly drew a gun and pointed at the employee. When the authorities arrived at the scene, Gonzalez reportedly left.

Police helicopters followed him until the police were able to reach and arrest him. When he was being taken into custody, Gonzalez reportedly told police that he was “just trying to get a hamburger at McDonald’s”.
Jornal Albuquerque reports that prosecutors filed a motion to detain Gonzalez until the trial. He is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

In the motion, which was obtained by the media, prosecutors wrote that Gonzalez, “not only endangered the victim’s life, but did so out of trivial contempt – getting the wrong order from McDonald’s. No one should have to live in fear of being threatened with a gun while they are at work. Nor should the community live in fear of witnessing a crime while trying to get food through a drive-through. “
