North Dakota man drove to find Kylie Jenner, broke into the wrong house, restraining order says

A California judge authorized the restraining order on Wednesday, December 30, for the “Keeping Upset with the Kardashians” star. Jenner filed a civil harassment petition on December 4 against Justin Robert Bergquist, a 22-year-old who, according to the North Dakota court case, is from Bismarck.

The precautionary measure lasts one year, according to court documents obtained by the Forum.

Jenner’s petition and other documents detailed an alleged theft in which Bergquist would have broken into the wrong home. He climbed over a fence on the night of November 19 and entered a house, but ran away after finding a child in a playroom, according to a report by the Los Angeles Count Sheriff’s Department.

The house that Bergquist allegedly broke into was in the same cul-de-sac as Jenner’s home in Hidden Hills, a gated community in Los Angeles County, according to court documents.

Another report from a security company said Bergquist drove to the community gate several hours later in a 2005 Chevy Impala, which had a North Dakota license plate. He told a security guard who drove from North Dakota to see Kylie Jenner, claiming he had already spoken to Jenner, the report said.

“I have no relationship with Mr. Bergquist and have never met or communicated with Mr. Bergquist,” said Jenner in his petition. “There is absolutely no legitimate reason or purpose for him to contact me or come to my home.”

The security report claimed that he wanted to “run through the gate” and “asked how ‘strong'” he was. He was then arrested by deputies.

Authorities used surveillance images to identify Bergquist, the report said.

In her petition, Jenner also said that she keeps her home address confidential, adding that she fears for the safety of her and her son.

Bergquist was charged with theft after the incident, but was released on bail on December 1, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing for the criminal case is scheduled for Thursday, January 7.

Bergquist had no crime on his record in North Dakota before the alleged theft, but he was quoted in December for suspected disorderly conduct and driving without a valid license in McLean County. He also faces a simple misdemeanor charge for assaulting Bismarck stemming from a December 15 incident.

The Forum searched for Bergquist, but a woman who answered the phone said he was unavailable. A message left to Jenner’s lawyer was not returned on Thursday.

Jenner is an American celebrity who owns Kylie Cosmetics. The 23-year-old socialite and media personality has more than 206 million followers on Instagram.
