An unsealed federal criminal complaint shows Kyle Reeves, from Gastonia, is being accused of threatening the president and faces up to five years in prison and a $ 250,000 fine, a Justice Department statement States.

He says that the threats started on January 28, when Reeves called the White House telephone desk and said, “I’m going to —– kill you all. F — the White House. I’m going to cut off your heads. “
Secret Service Special Agent John Robinson said he called Reeves on February 1 to discuss the threats, with Reeves responding that he had free speech and was allowed to say what he said.
Reeves called Robinson that day, the deposition says, to double his threats.
Robinson said Reeves “said he will continue to call and threaten people. I cannot stop him, my government cannot stop him and no country in the world can stop him”.
Reeves also reportedly called back to the White House phone call on February 1 to continue his threats and said, “I’m going to kill the president”
He also called Robinson on February 2, saying he wanted to be arrested and that he would kill Robinson when he got out of prison, prosecutors said.
The public defender representing Reeves said The New York Times said he was receiving mental health assessments and pleaded not guilty.
