Norris Becomes JUCO’s Latest Potential Client to Commit to Gamecocks

South Carolina football got an appointment on Christmas Day from the Georgia Military College cornerback Isaiah Norris (Anderson, SC / TL Hanna). The young college student will return to his home state to play for the Gamecocks from 2021 and becomes the new appointment of new coach Shane Beamer since he was hired the first weekend of December.

Norris is the latest junior college player to commit to Gamecocks. In the last five recruitment cycles, which date back to the 2017 Class, Norris is the 15th JUCO product to commit to Gamecocks. When he signs, he will become the 11th to sign and play in Colombia. Among this group of 15 commitments, six are from Georgia Military College.

With Norris now alongside Gamecocks, below is a retrospective of the last 10 junior college products to be committed to South Carolina. Four of the 10 candidates below were on the 2020 season list, two others played for Gamecocks and now are in the NFL and three others have been disengaged, one that has become a rival of the SEC East.
