Nor’easter hits region with snow and strong winds

MID-HUDSON – Mother Nature poured up to 60 centimeters of snow in the region from Monday to Tuesday morning.

New York was in a state of emergency on Monday, meaning that only essential services were allowed on the roads.

The Metro-North Railroad service, which was interrupted on Monday afternoon, resumed at 4 am on Tuesday on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines.

Snow continued to fall through the night with an additional accumulation of seven to eighteen centimeters.
