Nokia goes deeper in the AOSMark score list

AOSMark is a site that scores Android phone makers based on how many operating system updates they have sent to their phones on average in the past.

The more important updates a manufacturer releases, the higher the AOSMark score. This must also be related to the fact that end users are more satisfied with their phone, but this is usually not the case. Anyway, AOSMark updated its scoring list on March 25, and Nokia dropped to 11th place, just above oppo, realme and Huawei. Since Nokia has many smartphones to update, and updates are yet to come on many phones, I am not surprised by the current position.

But, what surprises me is the number of Nokia AOSMark devices the team thinks it’s running Android 11. So far, Nokia Mobile has released Android 11 for Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 3.2, and that’s it. But, AOSMark has Nokia 5.3, along with Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 2.3. All of these devices are also mentioned as running Android 10, so they don’t change the score, but they make me wonder what AOSMark knows that many of us don’t know.

So, I checked the FAQ section and I found that the team also counts devices that have come into its scope by running beta versions of the latest operating system update, which should normally be close to the release cycle.

If you check the Geekbench for Nokia devices with Android 11, you will find Nokia 5.3, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 3.4. Some devices are on the AOSMark list, but others are not.

Anyway, we can add Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 2.3 probably running the version of Android 11 that is almost ready to be released.
