Drinkbox Studios, the creators of the popular brawler Guacamelee!, we have a new game on the way. It’s an action RPG called Nobody saves the world.

At the Nobody saves the world, the world in question needs to be saved from a doomsday event called Calamity. While sharing a name and purpose (destroying everything) with the Calamity of Supergiant’s Bastion, this is less of a “faceless, all-consuming destruction force” and more of an “invading army of monsters”. Good and simple.

You are cast as a character called Nobody (got it?), Who is faced with a magic wand, allowing you to transform into various unlockable forms. If you want to be a ranger, you can do that. A bodybuilder? This too. How about a horse? Yes!

From a top-down perspective, you will explore a higher world and face procedural-generated dungeons. Drinkbox says the game will not have any grind. Instead, you will unlock forms, skills, progression and the like when completing missions. These missions can range from “breaking things” to “becoming a mouse” to the very presumptuous “cheering up rabbit-loving companion”. (Personally, I love hares.)

Nobody saves the world will be released later this year for Xbox and PC consoles. It will be available on Game Pass on both platforms from day one.
