New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard attacked Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer on social media on Friday night for this month’s free agency drama that made many fans think Bauer would be playing in New York.
Syndergaard retweeted a photo from the official Mets Twitter page that showed him and his teammate Rob Gsellman laughing at spring training.

He posted the tweet with the caption: “And then he said … ‘I’m sorry to have chosen another team, but I’m going to donate to your charities!'” Referring to Bauer, who provoked Mets fans by auctioning one signed the team’s hat just before announcing a deal with the Dodgers on February 5.
Bauer didn’t seem to appreciate the excavation and tweeted in response: “When mistakes are made, you try to correct them.”
He continued, “I know you wouldn’t know anything about making mistakes. I hope rehab is treating you well. It was nice to see you playing back.”
Bauer apologized days after signing with the Dodgers, explaining a flaw that allowed the draw to appear on the site.
“My intention throughout the off-season was to interact with fans in a way that would make the off-season and free agent process more interesting,” he said in a statement.

“Throughout the free agency process, my team prepared marketing materials for various organizations, as I did not know where or when I would sign. To be prepared for a moment that could materialize very quickly, we uploaded many of them to my website in the back. -end. The plan was not to have those pages on the air until a decision was made, which obviously was not what happened. That was the first mistake.
“The plan was to release a link to my website and the appropriate materials via linktree on my Instagram page as soon as my decision was finalized. Unfortunately, that link was posted by mistake long before any decision was made. That was the second mistake. Understandably, the link was quickly discovered and started to spread on social media. “
Bauer added that those who took part in the draw will participate in a raffle to win tickets when the Dodgers play against the Mets during the regular season, and that he will make a $ 10,000 donation to four New York-based charities.
Bauer kept the fight on Twitter by sharing screenshots of Syndergaard’s aggressive responses to fans.
“Try to treat the fans better. They are what make our game work. There is no place for personal insults, especially about someone else’s wife.”
Syndergaard replied back with a GIF: “Keep digging,” to which Bauer said, “See you down there.”

The battle between the pitchers seemed to calm down when Syndergaard told Bauer to “bring a drone and its mixtape and go.” He marked it as “#takeajokebro”
The stars will have a chance to make things right when the Mets face the Dodgers in a series of three games at Citi Field in August.
