It should be noted, however, that testing was low, with only 1,673 tests performed when the daily average is 4,864.
Despite zero reported deaths, North Dakota currently ranks 10th in the country in death rates, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Neighboring South Dakota is the sixth. At one point, North Dakota came first on the list.
Cass, Burleigh and Ward counties continue to report the highest number of cases in the state. Cass County added five cases, while Burleigh County, which includes Bismarck, reported 15 new cases. Ward County registered seven additional cases and Grand Forks County saw two cases on Sunday.
Neighboring counties of Morton and Stark now have 48 and 34 active cases, respectively. Williams County in Williston recorded 59 cases in total.
All counties except Divide, Golden Valley, Billings, Slope, Hettinger, Renville, Towner, Benson, Wells, Kidder, Logan, McIntosh, LaMoure, Griggs and Steele have at least one active case at the moment.
Cass County has the highest number of deaths, with 192. Ward County is right behind with 185 deaths, Burleigh County with 185 and Morton County with 93.
Slope and Billings counties had zero COVID-19 deaths.
Burke, Bottineau, Towner, Ramsey, Pierce, Mountrail, McKenzie, Williams, Bowman, Hettinger, Morton, Stutsman, Ransom, Sargent and Richland counties added five or fewer new cases.
A total of 95,964 North Dakotans recovered from COVID-19 and 52.13% were tested.
