Positive COVID-19 tests continue to disrupt South Carolina’s men’s basketball season, with the home game announcement scheduled for Saturday against No. 24 Clemson has been postponed.

A USC statement said there was a possibility to reschedule the Clemson game at a future date to be determined.

Clemson (5-0) returned to the Associated Press Top-25 on Monday for the first time since November 2018. The Tigers defeated Alabama on Saturday and play Tuesday night at Virginia Tech (4-1). The Hokies are trained by former Wofford coach Mike Young.

Gamecocks (1-2) last played a loss on December 5 in Houston, before Thursday’s game against Wofford and Monday’s game in George Washington were canceled. The opening of the USC season on November 25 against Coker had also been canceled previously.

Gamecocks are scheduled to play on December 23 against SC State with a game on December 29 in Kentucky to open the SEC to play the final game of the 2020 program.
