No. 2 Baylor postpones the next two men’s basketball games against TCU in Oklahoma

Baylor, the country’s second men’s basketball team and one of the three remaining undefeated teams, has postponed its next two games, the school announced on Thursday.

The decision is “due to the Big 12 Conference men’s basketball interruption guidelines.”

Baylor’s game against TCU on Saturday and the slope of the Bears road in Oklahoma next week are the two games affected. For now, Baylor’s next scheduled game is February 13 against Texas Tech.

The Bears had to postpone or cancel a series of games this season. Baylor had to withdraw from the Empire Classic at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, to start the season after coach Scott Drew tested positive for COVID-19.

Bears ‘December game against Gonzaga was postponed after positive tests in the Zags’ travel group, so Baylor interrupted the team’s activities a week later. The pause caused two postponements.

In January, a game against West Virginia was postponed after the Mountaineers had problems with COVID-19.

Baylor won Texas number 6 on the road on Tuesday, improving to 17-0 overall and 9-0 on the Big 12.
