New Mexico reported 275 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday and an additional 15 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 3,700.
The average of cases over seven days is 345, slightly higher than last week, but still substantially lower than at the beginning of the year.
Among the new cases recorded are 105 in Bernalillo County, 31 in Doña Ana County and 16 in McKinley County.
The Lea County Correctional Center reported six new cases. The state prison near Hobbs reported 191 cases of the virus on Friday.

Among those who died of the virus were a woman from McKinley County in her 50s who was hospitalized and had underlying diseases, a woman from Chaves County in her 60s who had underlying diseases and a man from Lea County in her 60s who had underlying diseases. Others were a woman from Bernalillo County in her 60s and a man from San Juan County in her 60s, none of whom was reported to have been hospitalized or with underlying diseases.
A woman in her 100s who lived in the Society of the Good Samaritan in Albuquerque also died of the virus.
New Mexico has reported 184,888 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. On Saturday, 227 people were hospitalized with the virus and 143,774 cases were designated as recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
