Nintendo launched Nintendo Switch Concierge, a program designed to familiarize those who “recently purchased a Nintendo Switch system” with the console.
Switch Concierge offers Switch owners individual video conferences with a Nintendo representative. There are six half-hour sessions to choose from: Nintendo Switch 101, Games (Introduction), Games (What to Play Next), Security and Privacy, Nintendo Account and Personalization. Everything seems pretty basic – for example, the Games (Introduction) session is supposed to cover the difference between buying a game in a cartridge or through a “digital download”. (Are not all downloads digital?) The Personalization session, in turn, will go through the @NintendoInspired Instagram feed.
A service for new Switch owners would not have been a thing a year ago: last spring, while Animal Crossing: New Horizons calmed those who were confined to their homes during the beginning of the pandemic, it was almost impossible to get your hands on a switch. Now that most digital retailers have the Switch back in stock, the Switch Concierge is presumably more viable. I’m looking forward to learning about the video games available for Nintendo Switch and why they’re all written Hades.
