Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite are hosting another popular game from 2020 in 2021. This week, developer Tripwire Interactive – a studio best known for Killing Floor series – and Deep Silver publisher announced that the first Grand Theft Auto shark game, Maneater, is finally coming to Switch and Switch Lite after being postponed in its original 2020 launch window. More specifically, the pair confirmed a May 25 release date for the game on Switch and Switch Lite, although, unfortunately, they have not released a new trailer to accompany this news.
Although we did not receive a new trailer to accompany the announcement, the duo confirmed that the game is being released at retail, in addition to a digital launch. That said, it is currently unclear whether the game will cost $ 40 as on other platforms, or $ 50 or $ 60 on Switch and Switch Lite as a result of the infamous, but less and less common, Switch tax.
For those who don’t know: Maneater released last spring via PS4, Xbox One and PC, and has since come to PS5 and Xbox Series X. After launch, the game did not critically ignite the world, but found a player base and will likely go on to become one little cult success in the years to come.
