Nintendo Switch makes two classic games free for a limited time

Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite made it not one, but two free games, or more specifically, Capcom made two of its free games on Switch and Switch Lite. After yesterday’s Nintendo Direct – which included the announcement of Splatoon 3, one new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter, and a new Mario Golf – Capcom decided to outdo everyone by doing both Ghosts’ n Goblins and 1943: The Battle of Midway free to download.

The first is being released to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Resurrection of Ghosts and Goblins. After Resurrection of Ghosts and Goblins released on February 25, the game will no longer be free and will be made available as an independent purchase. That said, if you download the game before that, it will be yours forever.

About that, 1943: The Battle of Midway it seems to be a permanent toast. The shoot ’em up arcade game debuted in 1987 and, to this day, is widely considered one of the best and most popular arcade games of all time. Like Ghosts’ n Goblins, it is also free to keep after downloading.
