Nintendo Switch Leak Reveals the Return of the Classic 1999 Game

The Nintendo Switch will have one of the best games of 1999 coming soon. It has been a slow few months for Switch and Switch Lite users in terms of new game releases and, for the most part, this has also been true for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC as well. However, in the coming months, that will change. In fact, not only will the notable games start releasing again on the Nintendo console pair, but it looks like they will also receive one of the best games of 1999 soon.

According to South Korea’s official ranking board, which ranks games for release in the region, SNK vs. Capcom: the departure of the millennium is coming to Switch and Switch Lite. The rating doesn’t disclose a release date or anything else of the salient variety, but this is the first time we’ve heard of a Nintendo Switch port for the classic Neo Geo Pocket Color game.

For the past two years, SNK has been constantly bringing its Neo Geo Pocket Color games to the console pair, so it’s not very surprising to see that it’s finally managing to bring SNK vs. Capcom: the departure of the millennium. As the name suggests, it is a cross-fighting game with SNK and Capcom characters that was not only one of the most watched games of its year, but one of the most watched games of the 1990s.

At the time of publication, there was no official word from the game coming to Switch and Switch Lite, but the South Korean rating board would not rate the game for the console pair unless it was for the console pair. That said, at the moment, neither Nintendo nor SNK confirmed the leak. If that changes, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly.
