It’s official, Splatoon 3 – whether you’re ready for it or not, it’s coming to Nintendo Switch next year.
If you are reading about the history of the third game, you already know that it takes place in a new region called Splatlands – a desolate and hostile environment. In the first teaser trailer for the game, we also took a look at Splatsville, the “city of chaos”.
According to a list of jobs on the Japanese Nintendo website (via Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome), the company is looking for a level designer to renovate “existing” stages.
OatmealDome starts to speculate how this could mean stages of the original Splatoon and Splatoon 2 are coming back. In addition, the level designer will also need to adjust stages, weapons, and game modes, position stage objects by game mode, and balance weapon parameter data.
How would you feel about returning to the previous stages of Splatoon 3? What phases would you like to see coming back? Share your ideas below.
