If you were worried about having to spend a few more months without a new video game documentary, don’t worry anymore. A new five-part documentary from Nintendo is planned for a March 1 premiere date, and will be free for everyone to watch.

According to Deadline, Playing with Power: The Nintendo Story will debut on Crackle, the ad-supported streaming service previously owned by Sony. Written and directed by Jeremy Snead and narrated by Sean Astin, who has worked together on Video Games: The Movie, the series will cover more than a century of Nintendo history and has been developed over four years.

The series includes interviews with several industry figures, including former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime and Xbox boss Phil Spencer, as well as celebrities like Wil Wheaton. Another subject of the interview that will appear is Tom Kalinske, the former CEO of Sega of America, who is credited with the success of Genesis and really having a chance against Nintendo’s SNES.

There was no shortage of video game documentaries recently, including Netflix’s High Score series, which chronicles video games until the mid-90s. The movie Console Wars, which is based on the eponymous book by Blake J. Harris (he co-directed the film), focuses on the rivalry between Nintendo and Sega during the 16-bit era. Kalinske is the central character followed in both the book and the film.

We will have to wait and see if Playing with Power is a success, but Video Games: The Movie was ridiculed in a very critical way when it was released in 2014. It was called “unfocused” and took a look at the subject, but as the new project is a five-part series, instead, there’s a chance to delve into what made Nintendo what it is today.
