Nicki Minaj gave birth to her son on September 30. We still don’t know his name; Minaj calls him by the nickname “Papa Urso”. On Saturday morning, she shared the first complete photo of her baby, and boy, is he cute.
“#PapaBear thank you so much for choosing me to be your mother 🎀🦄🙏”, she wrote. “I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. Thank you for your love and support throughout this journey. It meant a lot to me. Being a mother is by far the most rewarding job I have ever undertaken. Sending love to all the superhero mothers there. Big hugs to all the women who were pregnant during this challenging period.
In the past few months, Minaj has shared some glimpses of her baby, including this look at her little foot, which she shared in October.
In late November, she shared this audio message from her son making baby sounds.
“Say hi to Barbz, Daddy Bear,” said Minaj, referring to fans, while her son made sounds on the recording. “What are you doing? Say something!”
The baby made the cutest sounds.
“Aww, did you say hi to Barbz?”, She said, clearly satisfied. “Good boy, good boy!”
This is her first child with her husband, Kennth Petty, whom she married in 2019. She revealed in August of that year that she had obtained her marriage certificate with Petty.
“I think I have what I was looking for, just happiness,” she said then. “It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise on anything or anyone.”
