Marcus Hogberg you will be away from home for 1-2 weeks with an injury to your lower body.
The goalkeeper left in the 12th minute of the first period of a 7-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, after allowing a goal in five shots.
“[Hogberg] will be out for sure for a week or more, probably a few weeks, “said coach DJ Smith on Saturday.
Hogberg is 2-5-0 with an average of 4.34 goals conceded and 0.859 percentage of saves in 10 games (seven matches) this season.
Joey Daccord was pulled from Belleville by the American Hockey League and assigned to the taxi squad on Saturday. It should back up Matt Murray against Montreal Canadiens on Sunday (19h ET; SN, RDS, NHL.TV).
Smith said that Thomas Chabot it will be a game time decision on Sunday. The defender did not play Thursday or train Saturday due to an upper body injury.
