An NHL track looked more like the UFC octagon Thursday night … because a Red Wings player was totally NACOADO by being punched in an ice fight.
The whole violent scrap took place during the Lightning game against the Red Wings in Detroit … when things between Tampa Bay Barclay Goodrow and Detroit Adam Erne he got nervous and increased rapidly.
At the end of the second period … Goodrow checked Erne on the boards – and Erne didn’t accept the push, throwing his cue at Goodrow’s legs.

Goodrow returned the favor by trying to take Erne down … and then the guys went there !!
They dropped their gloves, started to swing … and a few seconds later, Goodrow landed a hay right on Erne’s chin.
You can see in the clip, Erne looked like he was knocked out on his feet … and in an incredible gesture by Goodrow, the Lightning player grabbed his opponent by the shirt so his head wouldn’t hit the ice.
Both players were penalized for fighting … and Erne had to go to the locker room to be examined by the coaches.
Hockey, man.
By the way, Erne may have lost the fight, but his team won the victory anyway … achieving a 6-4 victory.
